QUIET SUPER BOWL SUNDAY

Another cold low 20's morning and thick ice to break off all the waterers.
Hubbie and I had breakfast and then headed to church . We drove separately today since hubbie has his monthly Deacons meeting right after the service.
Today was the new pastor announcement that Craig Stepp got the votes he needed and would be Fruitland Baptist Church's newest pastor.
The interim Pastor Dr. Horton did the service today and at the end of the service a couple joined the church. Glory be to God.
I came straight home from church and put biscuits in  the oven to go with a crock pot full of beef stew that has been cooking all morning. #1 son's family and Aa were our guest to have the yummy lunch.
We had a nice visit and when everyone left hubbie and I watched the 2nd half of the UNC/ Notre Dame basketball game which UNC won.
After chores we joined millions of other folks tonight and tuned into the Super Bowl between the Atlanta Falcons and the New England Patriots this year. I am rooting for the Falcons since they are the underdogs and have never won a Super Bowl championship and the Patriots have won 5 times plus I like Mat Ryan , the Falcon's quarterback. Unfortunately the Falcons blew a huge lead and lost the game.
Todays weather has been super nice with upper 50's and plenty of sunshine for us. A lot different for the folks out west that are welcoming the "M" winter storm, Maya tonight as she drops heavy snowfall as she heads across the country this week.
Looking forward to another God blessed week for me and the family as we strive to follow Him !
God Bless and Good Night

Hubby and I had a quiet Sunday as he is suffering from the flu. Both he and I were rooting for the Falcons also. What a shame they lost. So happy to hear that Pastor Stepp was voted in. Blessings
