Market day Saturday rolls around once again and seems it was just yesterday when the last one was.
Hubbie and I arrived on time and got set up between waiting on customers. Market was very busy today thankfully to make up for the slow Thursday we had.
Daughter and Josh brought her baked goods in and she had to stay and help with customers for a while until the rush time got over.
I bought corn from one of the neighbor vendors and hubbie took it with him when he left to go by Sam's Club and then home to mow the lawn.
The rain started in town about 1:00 and hubbie said it started at our house about the same time so he didn't get any lawn mowed today. The rain was a steady rain all afternoon and made for a messy time of loading the Honda and stopping for baking supplies at Sav Mor and Ingles on the way home.
We unloaded at home in a steady rain .
We relaxed for the evening and watched the rain continue into the late evening before it finally stopped just before chore time.
Daughter and Josh stopped by after looking at a house that is for sale after the elderly man died that lived there. It was built in 1945 and has had 7 additions so it would need to be severly updated but the property is really nice . The son has already had an offer from someone else so he will know Monday if that man can get a loan and then daughter and Josh can get someone to look at the house to see how much the renovations they would like will cost.
This is the house.
It is only about 1/2 mile from us and that would certainly make things easier for babysitting.
Hubbie and I finished out this day relaxing and recuperating from a busy week getting ready for another busy week coming up.
Hubbie is training his replacement at work and that is stressing him out so he needed the relaxing.
Unfortunately g-son's Baptism scheduled for tomorrow in the creek had to be postponed because of all the rain and more predicted rain tomorrow until August 20th.
I emptied another 4/10ths inch from the gauge this evening.
Thankful for the blessings of this day and for the love of my precious Savior.
God Bless and Good Night.
