BEAUTIFUL DAY, WINDY NIGHT AND 1989 SNOWSTORM

The sunshine streaming through the bedroom window looked so bright this morning. It energized me as I headed out to get the chores done.
All the animals acted like they were so appreciative of the warm sunshine this morning.
The grass is starting to turn green in the pastures and everything looks so bright and fresh after all the rain.
Thankfully we didn't get the heavier rains that were predicted last night and there was only 6/10ths inch additional rain in the gauge this morning.
I had breakfast then put the turkey breast in the pressure pot along with corn on the cob on the stove.
Hubbie made a gallon on tea and we will do the rest when we get home from church.
We prayed for three ladies from our congregation that are headed to the mission field this week during the service this morning.
Back home we fixed dressing, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans and candied baby carrots to go with the turkey and corn already cooked.
The kids enjoyed playing and everyone had a nice visit. #1 son's family, Aa's family and #2 son and Tif made it for lunch today.
#2 son drove his new truck in today and seemed really happy with it.

Daughter, son-in-love and IR came by to pick up some more things from the storage shed after lunch and then hubbie went over to their house to change a light fixture and do a couple more things they needed .
I put laundry away and the started chores. The wind is blowing making it scary to be under the large pine trees. I had to get #1 son who came up to the shop to get something for his car to help me get a large limb that fell off one of the chicken lot fences . Thankfully it only hit  fence.
We are expecting the huge leaning pine tree to fall anytime on the power lines but so far it is holding strong.
There was another winter storm named today as Ryan brings more snow to the northeast and makes it's way across the country bringing is who knows what ???
To continue the decade pics back in February 1989 we had snow and the kids #1 son  8 years old, #2 son 6 ears old and daughter 4 years old enjoyed playing in it .

The cattle don't enjoy the snow near as much as the kids. The old barn that my dad built is in the background of some of these pics. We used that old barn until we built a new one.

This is my mom's old 1967 Chevelle that we bought from her to restore but never got around to getting it done.
Snowy farm scenes.....

The wind has started to really blow so I am getting in off here and heading to the bedroom away from all the trees that could fall on the house.
Praying for safety for all the animals and all the folks who have to be out on the roads tonight in these high winds.
God Bless and Good Night.

I am praying you stay safe. We had the high winds yesterday - almost blew me off the rode on my way to church. Today the high winds are still here but the temps dropped so we have single digit temps with below zero wind chills. Blessings
