WELCOMING FALL DECORATIONS

Started the day baking cake layers. This seems to be working out better than doing it at night so far. While they baked I started laundry,I wanted to get towels hung out early so they could have plenty time to dry.
I didn't get started with house cleaning until after lunch but that's okay,it still gives me plenty of time.
I even took my vitamin D 30 minute break out in the sunshine, they are saying rain for the next couple days so I wanted to surely get out in the sun today.
I was finishing swiffering the floors just as hubbie got home. He had some fence mending to do where we think a deer got tangled in one of our fences. It left some tell tale hair on the barbs.
I filled bird feeders and cut some dead vines out of the yard while he was doing that.
We need a trip to Sam's Club for some supplies and when the rain and wind all of a sudden came up and ran us inside we headed out to shop.
While we were in the store we could hear the loud thunder but as we left it was only light rain. The roads are filled with leaves as the winds are blowing them from the trees prematurely.
I have been meaning to post my fall decoration pics so I hope you enjoy them and know that you would be welcome at my house.
These are my official greeters, sitting on my front porch.

This old apple box belonged to hubbie's grandfather and it gets seasonal decorations.

This will welcome you as you get to my front door.

Friendly Mrs. Hen will greet you at the back door.

This old milk can also gets seasonal decorations.

The glass top table in the sunroom is decorated for fall with these leaf placemats.

Another welcome into the kitchen from the sunroom.

These are new placemats I found this year for my dining room table.

Pumpkin Spice potpouri keeps the dining room smelling like fall.

I will be adding Halloween decorations next week.
Today was a nice 75 degree day before the rain started and really cooled it off quickly. It is 58 degrees at 11:00 tonight. Temperatures are supposed to get more normal for a while now.
I spent some time tonight reading the introduction and 1st chapter in my Christian Atheist book so we can discuss it Sunday night at church. One question to ponder, what do you call God? This says a lot about your relationship with Him.
Hubbie and I were planning a flea market trip tomorrow but this rain changed our plans.
Thanking God for a blessed day today.
Good Night and God Bless

Beautiful decorations, Marilyn. So many of yours look similar to mine.

The rains went ALL around us today... Some areas got ALOT of rain... We had a TRACE at most... So disappointing. Maybe we'll get some tomorrow.

Hope you have a good day tomorrow.
Hugs,
Betsy

Love your decorations. Fall is definitely my favorite time of year for decorating and roaming the countryside! My old milk can is on the front porch as a holder for my walking sticks!

Take care and God Bless.

Great decorations! Isn't that a horse collar?
