BEAUTIFUL SUMMER LIKE DAY

After I took g-son to school and did chores, had breakfast and read my Bible I ran the cole slaw over to the neighbor's business,Turf Mountain Sod, for the meal they are taking to the family of the lost loved one from our church. This family requested that some one just bring the food to their house instead of having a dinner at the church fellowship hall.
As I came home I took a small dirt road, one of few left around here, home just for a change of scenery.

The soybean fields along this road are ready to harvest.
This is another beautiful sunny warm morning, things look so bright and clear under the blue sky.
This is our bottom pasture as I came up the drive to the house.
And another really pretty sight is these colorful trees above our barn and shed.

After a weight lifting video I spent the morning doing laundry and housework. Another heat pump estimator came by at lunch time and he was about the same as the one yesterday. After talking to him about the quality of the new heat pumps we have decided to keep ours as long as it is running.
It is 25 years old and still runs and heats fine, it's just noisy but the new ones are louder also and they don't last but about 10 years.
I finished laundry and housework just in time to pick up g-son. I need to figure out a new schedule as this housework all in one day is not working so well. I haven't had time to do anything to the floors but vacuum the last two weeks and haven't done anything outside. Next week I'm going to try doing a little on 3 different days to see how that works. Maybe if I do a little housework first thing in the morning I won't get so tired out. Only one way to find out !
After #1 son picked up g-son I did chores and watched the news. I baked 12 caramel, 2 coconut,3 chocolate, 2 pound and 3 wine cakes tonight .
While I was in the kitchen I heard on the scanner that a tractor trailer had turned over down in the Green River Gorge. In just a few minutes I got a call from #1 son asking if I had heard anything about it. His DOT crew had been called out to do a lane closure until they could get the truck unloaded and towed away,he was hoping it wasn't a tanker truck. Fortunately it was a box truck hauling frozen food.  I pray for their safety as that gorge is a dangerous place to work on the roads with all the tractor trailer trucks going down through there.

It was a nice hot day here today with a high of 78 degrees it felt like summer has made a return and I was tempted to get the short pants back out but resisted with the high temperature this weekend going to be in the 50's only, with the first freezing temps of the season predicted, talk about a shock !!
Thanking God for the blessings of the day.
Good Night and God Bless.
