MARCH MADNESS KIND OF SUNDAY

Uhhhh!!!   Woke to the sound of rain on the metal roof this morning. I would like to lay here and let that sound lull me back to sleep on this dreary morning but alas there are animals who are hungry after their long night's slumber !!
I finished the chores in a steady rain, slipping and sliding around in the mud for another time this year. Seems like there have been more muddy days than dry ones so far in 2014.
Back inside I put acorn squash halves in the oven to bake while I got ready for church.
Church was good, our senior pastor was back today and we finished the Book of Ruth.
Wonder where he will go next. I'm betting Luke or one of the first books of the New Testament to get ready for Easter.
Everyone made it here for lunch of roast beef, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, corn, glazed baby carrots and the acorn squash with another of Rebekah's gluten free cakes she is trying out to sell at market.
Daughter was so tired from her early morning trip yesterday she slept through lunch but got up later and ate.
Aaron and Rebekah left early to get afternoon naps before she had to go to work tonight.
Hubbie and I spent a dreary Sunday afternoon watching March madness games. Our UNC tarheels lost their game by 2 points on the other teams last second shot.
After chores and a light supper I reviewed and ordered the ninth volume of my blog books. Every six months I have made a book on the Blurb website.  I already enjoy going back and reading what was happening on the same day back in the years I have blogged. I wrote my first blog in July 2009 so this time of year that gives me four years to look back over.
I emptied almost 1/2 inch of rain from the gauge this evening and the skies were clearing tonight as the 50 degree high for today evaporated quickly with a coming cold front that is dropping the temps into the mid 20's overnight.
Grateful to God tonight for the blessings of this day and for the freedom to worship Him as I please.
Good Night and God Bless.

Your Sunday sounds like a nice day for just relaxing. Acorn squash is one of my favorite vegetables. Our yards around here are all mud also. Can't wait for warmer weather. God's blessings to you.
