BUSY PRE 4TH MARKET DAY

Woke to the sound of gentle rain hitting the roof this morning making me want to lounge in bed and enjoy the quietness of a rainy morning but not to be as this is market day.
Hubbie took today off to do some painting at church that he needs to do so he was here to help get things loaded this morning.
I did chores, still noticing that the ground under the trees was only dampened so far by the rain and there was less than 1/10th in the gauge but we are promised some significant amounts of rain in the next couple days.
I made it to market on time where daughter was already set up with her blackberries, breads and muffins.
Business was pretty good today for a Thursday. Folks are already getting their goodies for their Fourth of July festivities.
I have a long list of supplies to pick up after I leave here so it is going to be along afternoon, me thinks !!!
Daughter left at 1:00 to go home to meet up with her dad and go to the dentist to get their teeth cleaned and checked. The dentist they go to is in Columbus NC so they get together and go at the same time.
Hopefully neither has any work that will need to be done.
I left market in a light misty rain and ran into Mailman #2 son at the bank, at least he is driving a route today instead of walking in the rain.
As I shopped in Aldi a lady slipped and fell and was hurt pretty badly, at least she didn't get up but called the EMT's . I checked out and left just as the EMT's were getting there so hopefully she was okay.
I continued with my errands , I got my umbrella out a couple times as I went into stores but then didn't need it when I came out. I finally got everything done and made it home around 5:30,whew.
 A looooonnngggg  day !!!
Hubbie helped me unload and then we had supper while we watched the news. He got good news at the dentist and didn't have any cavities, neither did daughter so they are good for another year !!
After chores we ended our day as we usually do sitting in the outside patio.
At least something is getting some enjoyment out of all the plums that are falling off the tree before they get  ripe !!! When I take my big camera out with me I never see anything to photograph , when I don't have it there is always something to photograph. I took this with my phone.

I dumped 2/10ths inch of rain from the gauge this evening . At least that helps a little.  The temperature is really nice hovering around the mid to upper 70's with a nice breeze.
I decided to bake 4 pound cakes tonight to get a jump on tomorrow's busy baking day.
Off to bed tonight to recharge.
Grateful for this blessed day.  God is Good !!
