SLOW MARKET and 1966 SCHOOL PICS

Market day once again. It is another beautiful day although getting warm quickly this morning.
I made it to market right on time today but there was no one except a few sellers there to notice !!
Sales were really slow today but I did sell a few things and for that I am very thankful. Sis-in-law Sandy came by for a nice visit and I surfed around on my laptop to pass the time. I cleaned out one of the two bags I carry into market  and condensed everything into one bag to make my load a bit easier. However the one bag is very very heavy so I'll have to see if it makes that big a difference.
When I left market feeling "wilted" once again I knew why when I looked at the thermometer in my Honda.

Our cooler temps have went away in the 7-day forecast !!!

I ran the regular errands and added a stop at the Co-Op to look for some pure Hibiscus tea bags to try.
A friend said she lowered her cholesterol significantly by drinking a cup of Hibiscus tea daily and with my re-check appointment coming soon I need all the help I can get to make sure mine is down.
After getting baking supplies at Aldi and Walmart I also stopped by my favorite apple house to pick up my last bag of Honey Crisp apples. I knew they were getting scarce and I was right as they said what they had in their display was all they would have as they all have been picked. These are my favorite eating apple, they are very juicy and sweet.
It is getting to be "pumpkin" time and they have plenty of these babies !!!

I got home just a minute before hubbie pulled in from work so he helped me unload and get things put away.
My knees are screaming again this evening after standing on the concrete floor all day. I have a pad to stand on but it doesn't seem to help much.
We both rested and watched the news then did chores.
We ended the evening having another watermelon supper after hubbie found another Fall watermelon today , but this one wasn't as good as the last one he found .
Back in September of 1966 I was starting my    grade of school. This is my class picture that year.

These are some of my closest girl friends that year. This is Hubbie's cousin and my friend Connie Williams, who sadly died a couple years ago from a brain tumor.
This is Lorna Ramsey who sadly was murdered and left in  a field many years ago in an unsolved murder case.
This is Karen Youngblood who I saw last fall at our reunion and she is doing well.
This is a clipping in a scrap book from that year's apple queen.
Unlike today the apple queen was an older girl and wasn't from Henderson county. Today the Apple Queen is a high school senior from one of the local high schools.
Tonight I got notification that the man who was my Pastor at Fruitland Baptist church when I was a young girl passed away at the age of 84. He Pastored our church from 1964 thru 1971. Our families were together alot because his son played basketball and both our parents always came to every game. He was a very good pastor and I remember he had such an easy smile and was always so nice.
R.I.P. Rev. Bobby Graham

Thankful for all the blessings of this day and asking for His continued blessings and guidance for the family. Also praying for the family of Rev. Graham although I am sure they all know where he is tonight !
God Bless and Good Night.
