BLESSED SUNDAY

As this Sunday morning started out the sun and clouds were already battling for position early.
The fog hanging onto the mountain valleys was evidence of last evening's rain.
I did chores then filled the crock pot with mac and cheese and ham casserole for lunch while hubbie shucked and got the fresh corn ready.
Church was good about investing in the young folks at our church. There are several vacant teaching positions that need volunteers to fill. Funny how the younger generation now believes that the responsibility of these positions doesn't belong to them.
When our kids were younger hubbie and I did all kinds of volunteering in all kinds of positions because out kids were involved and we felt it was our obligation.
We had lunch with Aa's family and #1 son's family with fresh green beans and sliced cucumbers and tomatoes added to the casserole and corn.
After everyone left hubbie had to mow the lawn as all the rainy evenings has made this a difficult task to find time to get done.
I had a bit of a headache so I sat out in the sunroom and dozed for about an hour before I felt better.
It's that time of year for me when I tend to overload myself and then my body finally lets me know about it !!!
I relaxed until chore time then we gave Dolly the 4-legged kid a haircut and gave her and Bernie the other 4-legged kid both baths.
I got started on my July xxx7 decade photo search tonight but only got one year done.
Getting in bed earlier tonight to begin a busy week early tomorrow.
Thankful for the many blessings of this day and for the love of an amazing Savior.
God Bless and Good Night.

I love the two pictures you posted- very pretty. Sometimes we all just need to take a deep breath, sit down and just relax. You are right about the younger generation not seeming to want to take responsibility to teach our young ones. So sad. Blessings
