Market was very slow today but there was some important business to take care of with the board members so hubbie had to stay the entire day and help at the table while I helped to make some decisions.
We had a slow day as customers were scarce today with the cold rainy weather.
We packed up and headed home after closing time to have some of the vegetable soup one the vendors was selling. That soup really hit the spot on this cool afternoon.
I went through my photographs in search of April decade pics and hubbie braved the nasty weather to dig another small grave for Bernie who passed quietly and peacefully in his sleep last night which is what we have been praying he would do.
Bernie was one of the sweetest dogs we have ever had and loved the kids so much . He and g-son were best buddies back in his healthier days.
Even in his sickened state over the last 3 years with a heart 3 times its normal size Bernie was still very tolerant of g-daughter RL and her affection.
We are happy that we got to spend an extra 3 years with Bernie past what his life expectancy was with his heart. Each time I took him to the vet for a check-up and she listened to his heart she would just shake her head in disbelief that he was still alive. She said it was the worst heart murmur she had ever heard.
Bernie will be missed by all of us but we know he isn't suffering anymore and we rest in the satisfaction that Bernie had a very good , very loved life for all his 14 years. R. I. P. Bernie.
On a brighter note more beautiful weather and fun for the cruisers today.
Thankful for the blessings of this day and that God does answer prayers !!!
God Bless and Good Night
