After church #1 son's family, daughter's family and Re and the kids joined us for the roast beef, corn, mashed potatoes, green beans, biscuits with strawberries and cake for dessert.
The kids waited patiently while watching cartoons on TV while we finished getting everything ready.
This is what lunch for the kids at my house looks like on Sundays and I love it.
These two are so cute now at how they stick together. BB's mom said he couldn't have any dessert because he didn't clean his plate so when RL asked for dessert and took her cake and strawberries back to her little table we didn't realize that she was going to share with BB !!!!
G-son usually eats his lunch out in the sunroom and the adults all eat in the dining room so this works out well and they really cleaned their plates today.
After lunch and a short playtime Re took all her kids home for naps. A man came to buy daughters lawn mower that she was selling and the rest of us enjoyed some outside time.
RL loves the new chicks.
G-son got in on the chick holding also as I remember how much he loved to hold them when he was a little boy.
Even IR got into the mix but she didn't want much to do with the little fluffy chicks yet.
My Silkie hens are pets and RL loves to carry them around but she can't understand why they won't stay where she puts them when she sets them down. Luckily I can just walk up and pick them back up.
After they all left hubbie and I had some relaxing time waiting on the rain that looked like it would start any minute under the dark clouds.
Missing today from lunch #2 son and Tif where feverishly working on finishing some of their yardwork before the heavy rains get here and it looks really good.
Son also finished making the benches for the cement table he made.
Hubbie and I got chores done and then just as darkness fell the rains started lightly falling.
The weather folks are predicting our area could get up to 5 inches of rain over the next couple days.
I am thankful for just rain as some folks are still fighting snow storms in the northern states.
Thankful for the blessings of this day. Always remember a day hemmed in prayer is a lot less likely to unravel !!
God Bless and Good Night.
