We checked the radar and decided to wait for the break in the rain that was coming before getting outside to the chores.
Thankfully we got a chance to get outside and back inside before the rains came pouring down again.
We had breakfast while listening to the distant thunder wondering if it was bringing lightening our way.
We got ready for church and luckily made it to church before the bottom really dropped out and the rains really poured down.
As we listened to pastor Craig's sermon we could also hear the rain pounding down outside. Glory to God we had 3 folks join our church family this morning.
We came home in a lighter rain and got the spaghetti lunch ready for #1 son's family and #2 son and Tif. We all had a nice visit and #2 son and Tif hung around while Bear their little dog was at the groomer.
Bear looks like a different dog with all his hair shaved off.
D-in-love and daughter went over to the 1/2 off children's sale today and RL got this shirt with her favorite cape on the back.
Little "Wonder Woman" !!!
We had a restful rainy afternoon as we watched the creek rise but thankfully it stayed in it's banks.
Our area is still under a flash flood watch as waters are still rising even after the rain has slacked off.
At chore time the rain was still falling lightly and there was 1.8 inches of rain in the gauge.
I could see the edge of the storm lifting above the horizon just as the sun was setting.
As I gathered eggs in one of the houses I found this perfect circle of eggs layed by the hens today !
The rain brought up some of the early garden plantings.
Hopefully the predicted snow fall will stay in the higher mountains and the temperature hopefully won't get any lower than the lower 30's for the next couple nights.
We had a relaxing evening to end a restful rainy Sunday.
Thankful the blessings of this day.
God Bless and Good Night
