GOOD LAST MARKET DAY OF THE YEAR AND 1998 CHRISTMAS

When my alarm went off this morning I almost cut it off and rolled over thinking it was Friday instead of Saturday. My entire week was been off with no schedule to follow on certain days.
Thankfully I realized it was Saturday and got up to get ready for market. Thankful for the sunshine to start this day I got chores done and then we headed out to market.
As I passed the lower pasture the road fence is thankfully still standing but it appears to be a corn stalk fence now .
We took the main road into town in case some of the side roads we usually travel were damaged by flood waters.  Thankfully the traffic was much lighter this morning than yesterday.
Market was pretty slow to start out but we ended up having a good day to end the year.
Daughter and IR came for most of the morning and then left to get home and get ready to go coach a basketball game at 3:00.
Hubbie left when they did to get home and cut down some of the vine laden tree limbs that partially fell in the heavy snow a couple weeks ago.
I left market at closing time and stopped by Aldi to pick up a few supplies for tomorrow's lunch.
IR was here to stay with us during the basketball game when I got here. We played with her after we got unloaded until daughter and son-in-love picked her up. Her team won their game today for the second victory of the tournament so maybe that will give them confidence going into the second half of conference play.
After they left we got chores done and then relaxed for the evening. I did finish my calendar and get it ordered tonight.
We are forecast to get more rain over the next week that we certainly don't need, hopefully it won't be enough to cause another flood.

#1 son's family made a trip to Dollywood today with Aa's family and some other church member families and the kids looked like they were having fun.

Back in December 1998 Christmas wasn't as exciting as it had been or is now as we had 3 teenagers .

With the deaths of all the grandparents by this time the only other place we celebrated was with mine and hubbie's brothers and their families .

Thankful for the blessings of this day.
God Bless and Good Night
