MERRY CHRISTMAS

MERRY  CHRISTMAS !!!!
Ahhhh !!!!!  A slow lazy Christmas day morning with a beautiful colorful sunrise to remind us of the wonderful event on this day when baby Jesus saw his first sunrise.
By the time I finished chores the clouds had taken over for the most part and left this very wintry looking sky.
Hubbie and I had a leisurely breakfast and then cleaned up the mess from last night. Hubbie went through all the trash collected last night to make sure nothing got thrown away in the flurry of unwrapping.
It's another cold morning , 29 degrees so I did some jobs inside while hubbie split some firewood .
IR was excited about her gifts and started playing basketball right away in her new goal.

And of course Tickle me Elmo made her day !!!
And the long night of doll house was well worth it as EL was super excited that Santa brought her this huge doll house that reached up to the ceiling and BB was happy with his big fire truck.

We checked all the news outlets to see if there was any reports of the accident last night but didn't find anything so maybe no one got hurt badly.
Daughter and son-in-love came to have lunch with us and then we went over to their house to check out the progress. The carport and front porch concrete is poured so they can start building the carport next. Rain is moving back in on Thursday so don't know if they'll work one day this week or not with tomorrow being the only clear day of the week.
They dropped us off back home and left.
I worked on my calendar for the next year and hubbie rested for a while until chore time.
#1 son's family who had been to d-in-love's mom's house earlier came by to have supper here of the left overs from last night.
RL was asleep and slept the entire time they were here she was so wore out from all the excitement.
When they got home she woke up after a 2.5 hour nap and played with some of the things Santa brought her.
I worked on my calendar and caught up my blog post tonight while hubbie watched TV.
Thankful for the wonderful Christmas season and especially the Reason for the Season.
God Bless, Merry Christmas and Good Night
