OCTOBER BEGINS WITH A FUN FILLED DAY

Nice morning, cool but sunny. Let the chickens out and am glad the wayward pullet has now been accepted into the flock and I no longer have to lift her into and out of the house.
I still have to make several small piles of corn so she can eat as the older hens still dominate the feeding time.
I baked cakes and iced some caramel and chocolate cakes until after lunch.
#1 son picked up g-son from pre-school and came here to meet his nurse to check his wounds again.
He left after we ate and g-son and I spent a wonderful fall afternoon having fun outside.
Who knew this winter's wood supply could be so much fun !!!!!

After his dad picked him up, I walked Bernie and Dolly for 30 minutes. They are going to have to start walking with me as they are gaining to much weight just laying around.
Daughter came in to bake and hubbie and I went to finish work at church.
We are supposed to have the coolest night of the season so far tonight 42 degrees, brrrr !!
It has been windy all day again today causing the 70 degrees to feel a lot cooler.
It is 10:30, I need to ice 2 coconut cakes and then I will close this first day of October with a happy heart.
Thank you Lord for this blessing filled day.
Good Night and God Bless.

Hi Marilyn, That grandson is growing taller for sure... What a cutie. I'm sure that he is just a joy to have around.

Sounds like you had a marvelous day. It's supposed to go down to about 41 here tonight... LOVE it....

Have a great weekend.
Hugs,
Betsy
