1995 FOOTBALL

Slow start this morning as I had an aching back that kept me awake until the wee hours last night. Finally a heating pad relaxed the tight muscles enough for me to get to sleep.
Another cloudy morning but warmer today as I did chores and came in for breakfast. S-in-law Sandy called and we chatted while I had breakfast. She always walks in the mornings and sometimes calls and we talk while she walks. Most of the time I am walking too but not today with my back muscles still feeling sore.
I got a call from Sears postponing my oven repair until next Tuesday which was fine with me as I am going to be busier this week baking for market's Old Timey Day and didn't want to take a chance of them making the ovens worse.
I baked 6 caramel, 6 pound cakes and 1 blackberry wine cake this morning then had a late lunch.
After lunch I vacuumed and mopped all the floors. When hubbie came in from work he said "soooo your back felt better and you decided to vacuum and mop ????"
I told him I couldn't find anyone else around to do the job !!!!!!
Daughter came by to pick up a cake for a lady who just got out of the hospital and we had a nice visit.
Her volleyball teams had went to the middle school to cheer on the middle school team today. She is second from right on the second row looking at the girls.

The clouds and sun battled all day but this evening the red sky didn't show many of the clouds that had hung around all day.

After evening chores I did weekly paperwork and payed bills.  I iced my cakes while I watched the new Survivor show on TV.
Back in the year 1995 September meant every Thursday night we were on a football field somewhere as #1 son played for Apple Valley Middle School in his 8th grade year. He loved playing football.

Thanking God for the blessings of this day and for all the wonderful blessings back thru the years in the life of my family.
