D-IN-LOVE HAS " THE BUG"

An extra early alarm this morning !!! With d-in-love sick in bed #1 son brought the kids ,he has to be at work at 7am so they were here at 6:30.
G-daughter was hungry so I fixed her a bottle and g-son asked to feed her. Since mom is breast feeding he gets few opportunities to do this !!

After she was fed and settled in her swing to go back to sleep. I fixed his breakfast of waffles and sprite. He acted like he felt fine this morning thankfully and was looking forward to going to school. Hubbie came by and took him to school so I could let g-daughter sleep.
It is 24 degrees this morning and the wind has died down so it doesn't feel bad at all outside while I did the morning chores. At least there was a thinner layer of ice to break off all the water pans today!
After chores I had breakfast then decided I would take a nap to catch up on lost sleep. As I settled on the couch with my 4-legged kids my stomach didn't feel good at all. I thought oh no not today Lord, I can't get this virus until d-in-love gets over it so she can take care of the kids. After several bathroom trips I gave up the nap idea and decided to start cleaning up in my office and get my mind of my stomach. '
Thankfully I felt better as the morning went on and I even got my desk cleaned off and some things put away that had been there several months before g-daughter woke up for another feeding.
She went back to sleep and slept till almost noon, bless her heart she must not have had a good night with her mom sick.
She watched as I ate lunch sitting in her bumbo.

She is really chewing on anything she can get in her mouth today, I wonder if she is getting a tooth ??
Hopefully she isn't getting her dad's sore throat and swollen tonsils. He said this morning his tonsils were so swollen they were almost choking him. He needs to go to the doctor and get some medicine.
After lunch g-daughter and I did more cleaning in my office. We found a couple things that I have been looking all over for !! She enjoyed the music I had playing in there and kept trying to figure out where it was coming from.
I had to pick g-son up from school this afternoon. The sky was so blue and clear as we sat in the car rider line.

He is always so glad to see his baby sister !!!

 And she is glad to see him also !!!

He ate a good snack and then said his stomach was hurting again but he got alright thankfully. I think he was just so hungry he ate too fast and too much .
When hubbie got home from work he watched them while I did feeding chores of the three "watch" dogs and my chickens and birds then I stayed inside while he fed the cattle, horse and his beagles.
D-in-love is feeling better but is trying to stay away from them as long as she can so son picked them up on his way home.
He said he couldn't take time off work right now with his swollen throat even though he felt really bad this evening as there were so many workers out sick already.
This weather isn't helping anything with the up and down temps. And they have finally put some snow flakes on the map for the weekend.

For the first time since 1978 the first named Atlantic  tropical storm formed and was named today. Alex won't bother any land but is just another element of the strange weather all around the world this season.

I did weekly paperwork and then watched parts of a Duke / Clemson b-ball game which Clemson won and parts of a NC State / FL State game which Florida state won.
I am headed for an early bedtime tonight , hopefully to get back to a regular schedule tomorrow.
