HAPPY FATHER'S DAY 2013

We were blessed at church this morning during our Father's Day celebration with another Baptism.
Our new choir director was baptized today.
After church we had grilled chicken breast for lunch with everyone here. Rebecca and little Evy came up and joined us as Aaron had to work today trying to get all the soy beans he can planted before the rain moves back in tomorrow.
After all the kids left hubbie and I took a long walk around our farm. As we walked past these fruits it looks like we will have bountiful harvest of blackberries, grapes and pears.

The birds will soon be happy as these elderberry blooms turn into the tasty berries they all love.
I love these Oak Leaf Hydrangea blossom, they look like little Christmas trees all decorated in white.
As we finished our walk we laughed at Sadie,Annie and Flash as they all look tuckered out and Flash is using Annie for shade !!
The sunny skies turned to all clouds later this afternoon as the front moves closer with the promised rain for the next couple days. The temperature today stayed in the upper 70's for a really nice day.

As I sat out in the quiet evening I thought of my dad on this Father's Day and felt that familiar empty ache in the pit of my stomach. I miss my dad every day in some way even though he died almost 32 years ago. When I look at the old pictures I have I wonder what he would think of the way I have raised my children and the way I have lived my life.
This is one of the oldest pictures I have and it is a metal photo of my dad, he looks to be in his later teen years.
This is a photo of him in the early 70's before any signs of sickness crept in.
Here my dad and I are at my oldest brother's wedding in the 1975.
And here he is goofing around because I was taking pictures at Christmas of 1975, with him is my oldest brother.
There are so many things I would love to say to my  dad now that never seemed to be important years ago !
Good Night and God Bless.
