LEGO PROJECT, SWEET SILKIE AND 1944 INVITE

G-son was here at the regular time but still under the weather with his virus he stayed home from school again today.
After I got the morning chores done and had breakfast we headed over to Walmart to pick up some baking supplies and a sprinkle watering can for my new flower plants.
Of course you can't take a sick little boy with you shopping without getting him a new toy. He chose another lego set.
As soon as we got home and had our lunch he began the construction. I wonder how old he will get before he stops using the directions ???!!!
This kept him entertained and kept his mind off his sickness all afternoon. I think he is feeling much better this evening.

While he was busy with his project I got three loads of laundry done and some house cleaning.
After his dad picked him up I went out and used my new water can and watered all the  new plantings.
I fixed some stir fry for supper which was really good.
Aaron, Rebekah and little Evy came over to spray the horse and cattle with fly spray and visited for a few minutes.
I cleaned out the two nesting boxes I took the chicks from yesterday and put the two setting silkies in them. The red hen went right on her new nest and eggs but the white one wasn't buying the new nest, maybe she will settle down over night or she won't get to set this time.
This is one of the little guys I put out in the big lot yesterday and she thinks I am mama I guess. She runs to me and wants to be picked up when I go in the lot.
This is why I love these Silkies !!!
Hubbie and I had our hot drinks and sat out in the outside patio to watch the sun dissappear this evening.
The road work is coming along quickly as they have hauled many, many loads of dirt in to raise the road in the last couple weeks.
Things might get a little interesting around here Thursday if we get the almost 4 inches of rain they are predicting for our area.
I spent the evening going through my pictures to get the May decade pics out. The  earliest thing I found was this graduation invitation for my first cousin Winnie in May of 1944.

Winnie is one of two first cousins I have left alive.
I am very grateful to God tonight for the love and blessings He gives me each day.  I need His guidance each day in all that I do.
Good Night and God Bless.

My grandson is 14 and still loves his Lego's. Love the picture of the silkie sitting on your shoulder. Hopefully you don't get all the predicted rain. Blessings
