STORMY NIGHT, WINDY DAY

Whew !!!  What a windy night I am surprised anyone has electric this morning but very thankful that we do.
I didn't see any damage around our place as I did chores this morning other than a few limbs scattered on the lawn and the outside patio furniture and toys all blown over. Folks not so far from us were not so lucky as just to our south the high winds in Forest City blew this roof off the Ford dealership in town.

And in upstate SC they had large hail in some places.

There was only 3/10ths inch of rain in the gauge from all the noisy storms last evening.
The wind is still blowing pretty hard this morning but is supposed to die down by about noon today.
I got ready and headed out to market expecting a very slow day with the cold winds blowing even in the bright sunshine.
As expected market was pretty slow. But I am thankful for the things I did sell.
I stayed until 1:30 today because there was nothing else pressing to do and I did have some last minute sales.
I ran the in town errands and then stopped by an extended family produce stand right outside town. I got some tomatoes, apples and a cabbage as I am craving boiled cabbage today.
I picked up baking supplies and groceries at Aldi and Walmart. I ran into daughter in Walmart picking up her baking supplies.
I stopped by Dollar Tree for some St. Patrick's day decor for my market table.
My feet and knees were hurting by the time I got home and got everything unloaded just as hubbie came in from work.
It was nice to put my feet up and relax while we watched the news for a while.
Chore time was cooler than it has been lately with the temperature already dropping into the 40's.The upper 20's are the predicted temp for the overnight so hubbie and I carried blankets up and covered our Blueberries. Don't know if it will help or not but it is worth a try.
The jet stream is diving southward over the next few days and reminding us it is still winter time around here !!
Hubbie carried in extra wood tonight so I can keep a fire going all day tomorrow as low 40's are the high for the day.
We spent a cold night resting tonight by the warmth of the wood stove which felt really good.
Thankful for all the blessings of this day and looking forward to God's plans for the days ahead.
God Bless and Good Night

Wow, I hadn't heard that the storm was that bad. Then again I don't live anywhere near you. Glad you are okay. Keep warm. Our temperatures dropped yesterday -today we are in the teens. Winter is back. Have a great weekend. Blessings
