GREAT SUNDAY AND 1975 MEMORY

Up and out to do the morning chores in my PJ's before getting ready for church. I had to make a stop before church  at the local Dollar General store to get some bacon that I forgot to pick up yesterday to make our first wilted lettuce of the season today for lunch.
Church was nice today, the sermon from Acts 1:8 was about missions.
After church everyone made it to lunch of pork loin, boiled potatoes, corn on the cob, green beans, wilted lettuce with strawberry shortcake for dessert.
After we ate EL played on her new playset that the guys put together more securely before lunch.
We moved it to the font of the covered patio so we can all relax while she plays. We also got the small one I had already and put it together for her to play on. She now has a large shaded play area.
After everyone left hubbie and I relaxed for awhile then we went outside to move more things around in the patio to make more room.
After chores were finished Aa , Re and the kids came back over and we all walked up to their new house place to see what all they got done this week . They are getting really close to being finished and the septic / well man is supposed to be coming Tuesday to approve the septic spot and well spot then they can move forward with these.
Daughter took her volleyball team of this past season over to the Grove Park Inn tonight to the 2014/2015 regional sports award banquet tonight. They were finalist for an award and one of their players was finalist for athlete of the year award. Unfortunately they didn't win either , but congrats for being in the running for both.
Here is the team and coaches before the dinner started . Daughter on far right.
North Carolina head coach Roy Williams , who was a student athlete at TC Roberson High and a coach at Owen High School, was the keynote speaker for the event and was inducted into the WNC hall of fame tonight.  This is daughter with the Hall of Fame Coach .
As we are all huge UNC fans, I'm sure this will end on a wall somewhere !!!
To continue with the decade pics for May 1975, this is my mom,Goldie and dad, Bob and oldest brother, Robert at my first sister in law, Lauren Tester's high school graduation . They would be married later that summer.
Hah, sometimes when I look at these old pictures I have to remind myself that there were no little screens to show you what you were taking a photo of before you pushed the button. ( that's how you get half faces in old photos) !!
Thankful for all the blessings from God today and for a beautiful world in which we live.
Good Night and God Bless.

You had a busy Sunday for sure, but a blessed one being with family. As two of our granddaughters are into sports of all kinds, I understand the 'winning' or just participating thing. As long as they do their best, we cant ask for more and are always proud. Our Pastor preached from Acts yesterday too. It is a convicting book of the Bible. Blessings to you and yours on this Monday.
