NURSERY DUTY SUNDAY AND 1995 MAY ACTIVITIES

With our smoked ham in the oven I was off to church to do our quarterly nursery duty today. I also had to go in a little early to do my greeting duties today. G-son met me in the hallway on the way to the nursery asking if he could please help hubbie and I in the nursery. I figured we could use his help with it being a holiday weekend and I was right as we had 6 little boys and EL came in later when she got bored in church.
There were 9 folks Baptised today, Praise the Lord !!!  Two of them were our senior pastor's grand daughters so I'm sure he was a happy grandpa !

I left a little early and came home to get mac and cheese started and check on the ham when the service lasted longer than usual.
Everyone made it to lunch even daughter's b-friend Josh was here today. We had the ham, (which was delicious), mac and cheese, green beans, baked potatoes, corn on the cob, fresh greens , and wilted lettuce with watermelon for dessert.
Everyone enjoyed a nice visit after we ate.
After they all left I decided it was time to stop putting off getting the rest of my plants into their permanent places. I enjoyed leisurely making pots of various herbs and flowers. It was a nice relaxing way to spend a nice Sunday afternoon.
I still have a couple pots that need some flowers but at least I got all I already had bought planted. More to water !!
Thought this cloud was very interesting......
??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
There was a lot of activities with the kids going on back in May of 1995.  Daughter's 4th grade class went on a field trip to see "The Crown Jewels" that year.

#2 son always spent his springs playing little league baseball. The team he played for this season was sponsored by MacDonalds. He was 12 years old this year.
He and his dad made a trip to see the Atlanta Braves play. There was a friend of hubbie's that always got a bus load of fans and went to most of the Braves home games back then. Hubbie and #2 son made a couple trips with them.

Son's Brave's bat that he kept for years.
My Nephew was making his high school debut as a pitcher and was doing very well. This is a story about him that was in the paper that month.
Tonight as we sat in the living room hubbie's beagles starting raising cane up in their lot. Hubbie went up to see what all the fuss was about and came back with this little guy.
He put it in his live trap so he can relocate it tomorrow morning away from the barking dogs.
This has been a really nice Sunday filled with many blessings that I am very thankful for.
Good Night and God Bless.

Hi There, You Sunday Dinner sounded delicious... Glad the entire group was there --and I'm sure everyone had a good time...

Hubby and I have gotten interested in getting more exercise --so we bought a FITBIT... That little gadget is wonderful... We've only had them about a week --but both George and I have picked up our exercise routine.. Feels good...

Hugs,
Betsy

Family makes any event special. Glad you had all of yours for that wonderful dinner. The 'throwback' was fun to read too. Have a happy day!
